Job Description

We are seeking to appoint a Learning Skills Mentor Gap Student to join our Learning Support Department. This role is particularly suited to a Gap Year applicant and involves supporting groups of students across a variety of subjects up to IGCSE level, with the potential for some A Level support. We have a particular need for support in maths and sciences.

Job Responsibility

Supporting groups of students across a variety of subjects up to IGCSE level, with the potential for some A Level support
Help plan and deliver additional workshops to support the curriculum
Work closely with subject teachers to reinforce learning strategies
Mentoring small groups
Assessing and reporting on student progress
Providing general administrative support within the Department

Requirements

Educated to a minimum of A Level / IB
Experience working with children aged 10–18 is advantageous
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Organised
Adaptable
Able to prioritise effectively
Confident working both independently and as part of a team
Good administrative and ICT skills (Excel and Word) are preferred
