Job Description

We are seeking to appoint a Learning Skills Mentor Gap Student to join our Learning Support Department. This role is particularly suited to a Gap Year applicant and involves supporting groups of students across a variety of subjects up to IGCSE level, with the potential for some A Level support. We have a particular need for support in maths and sciences.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting groups of students across a variety of subjects up to IGCSE level, with the potential for some A Level support
  • Help plan and deliver additional workshops to support the curriculum
  • Work closely with subject teachers to reinforce learning strategies
  • Mentoring small groups
  • Assessing and reporting on student progress
  • Providing general administrative support within the Department

Requirements

  • Educated to a minimum of A Level / IB
  • Experience working with children aged 10–18 is advantageous
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organised
  • Adaptable
  • Able to prioritise effectively
  • Confident working both independently and as part of a team
  • Good administrative and ICT skills (Excel and Word) are preferred
