We’re seeking a Learning Officer to join our Human Resources Department onboard Costa vessels, playing a strategic contributing to people excellence, engagement and guest satisfaction.
Job Responsibility:
Govern onboard learning activities
Ensure all onboard training activities are delivered in compliance with Company learning procedures, timelines and standards
Collect and structure training needs through operational observation and regular meetings with Hotel and D&E Heads of Departments
Act as a business partner, analyzing Company indicators to propose targeted training actions
Ensure accurate governance of learning documentation
Organize, deliver and facilitate classroom and online training sessions
Be accountable for the onboard mentoring process
Engage participants through an empathetic, inclusive and interactive facilitation approach
Act as a training consultant for onboard Managers
Promote and advertise the onboard training portfolio
Actively participate in onboard governance meetings
Support Internal Communication initiatives
Collaborate closely with the HR Director and Ship Council
Actively contribute to a strong and effective HESS culture onboard
Promote compliance with safety policies and procedures
Support sustainability awareness initiatives
Integrate safety, compliance and responsibility principles into learning activities
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent), preferably in Human Resources, Education, Psychology or related fields
Solid experience in soft skills group training and learning delivery
experience in course development and instructional design is a plus
Background in Hospitality & Tourism strongly preferred
Experience in English teaching within multicultural environments
Strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
English and Italian knowledge at least B2 level
Business‑oriented mindset with strong organizational and analytical skills
