Job Description:

Intercom’s Customer Education team is building the learning experiences that will enable our customers to transform themselves into AI-first companies. As Intercom’s first Learning Multimedia Designer, you will be the visual storyteller for our customer education content. You will sit at the intersection of product and education, transforming technical concepts into engaging, high-quality video tutorials that help our customers master the Intercom platform and the underlying skills they need to achieve their desired outcomes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Produce engaging educational content that drives business outcomes and helps our customers achieve a high return on their investment with Intercom
  • Collaborate with Learning Experience Designers end-to-end to produce the most impactful videos possible
  • Design effective visuals to increase learner retention of abstract and technical concepts
  • Create beautiful and tasteful animations that maintain learner attention
  • Improve the production process and video quality through AI tooling, rich feedback culture, and engagement data analysis

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in production of external learning content ideally in a fast-paced tech environment
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong video production, motion graphics, and instructional design principles
  • Deep expertise with the Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Premiere Pro and After Effects)
  • Working knowledge of production studio operations, including audio and video recording equipment, lighting techniques, and basic set design and aesthetics
  • Proven ability to translate complex, technical product concepts into clear, digestible, and visually engaging designs and animations
  • Experience developing and maintaining a consistent visual brand style across all video assets
  • Strong understanding of learning best practices and how multimedia elements influence learner retention and engagement
  • Strong understanding of the latest AI production technologies such as HeyGen and Nano Banana

Nice to have:

Experience with content authoring tools to assist with visuals and the design of online courses is preferred but not required
