Join our dedicated team as a Learning Mentor in an alternative provision academy. We provide a highly supported, personalised learning environment for students who are unable to attend mainstream education. This isn't just a job; it's a chance to work one-on-one with students aged 5 to 16, helping them overcome complex issues, re-engage with their education, and build a brighter future.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide personalised support to students, addressing both behavioural and academic challenges
  • Help students develop crucial coping strategies and life skills through engaging activities and weekly trips
  • Offer academic assistance and support for students' emotional well-being
  • Collaborate with families to help create a stable home environment that supports the student's learning and behaviour

Requirements

  • Resilient with a strong desire to make a positive impact
  • Previous experience working with young people, especially those with challenging behaviours
  • GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent experience
  • An understanding of school safeguarding and digital literacy
  • A full driving licence is preferred
