This role is ideal for individuals with a background in youth work, behaviour support, or SEN coaching who want to help vulnerable students re-engage with education and achieve their full potential.
Job Responsibility
Educational Re-engagement: Provide tailored 1:1 mentorship to young people, supporting their transition back into a stable classroom environment
Personalised Learning Plans: Develop and execute bespoke behavioural and academic strategies to facilitate student progress
Community Outreach & Enrichment: Lead educational and social development sessions outside the classroom, utilising local community spaces
Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong, trusting relationships and maintain regular communication with parents, carers, and multi-agency teams
Requirements
Driving Licence
Experience working with young people displaying challenging behaviour, SEMH needs, or within an alternative provision/PRU setting
Core Skills: exceptional communication, active listening, and conflict-de-escalation skills
Key Attributes: calm, patient, and solution-focused mindset with emotional resilience
