We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and dedicated Learning Mentor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s emotional, social, and academic development and who thrives in a collaborative school environment. As a Learning Mentor, you will work closely with pupils, staff, and families to remove barriers to learning and help children achieve their full potential.
Job Responsibility:
Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring to pupils who need additional support
Develop and implement strategies to improve attendance, behaviour, and engagement
Support pupils in developing confidence, resilience, and positive relationships
Liaise with teaching staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to ensure coordinated support
Monitor and record pupil progress and contribute to reports and reviews
Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Requirements:
Have experience working with children or young people in an educational or pastoral setting
Be empathetic, patient, and skilled in building trusting relationships
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Be able to work independently and as part of a team
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Hold relevant qualifications or training in mentoring, youth work, or education (desirable but not essential)
