We are seeking a professional, resilient, and empathetic Learning Mentor to join our alternative provision team in Plymouth. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting students as they navigate their educational journey, helping them re-engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve their true potential.
Job Responsibility
Provide dedicated, 1:1 or small group support to young people, helping them smoothly transition back into a classroom setting
Develop and implement personalised approaches to facilitate effective learning, emotional regulation, and academic progress
Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a cohesive, supportive network for every student
Facilitate learning experiences outside the classroom, taking students out into the community for educational development and social enrichment
Requirements
Valid UK driving licence
Proven professional approach to working with young people in challenging educational environments
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm, patient, adaptable, and solution-focused under pressure
