We provide a highly supported, personalised learning environment for students who are unable to attend mainstream education. This isn't just a job; it's a chance to work one-on-one with students aged 5 to 16, helping them overcome complex issues, re-engage with their education, and build a brighter future.
Job Responsibility:
Provide personalised support to students, addressing both behavioural and academic challenges
Help students develop crucial coping strategies and life skills through engaging activities and weekly trips
Offer academic assistance and support for students' emotional well-being
Collaborate with families to help create a stable home environment that supports the student's learning and behaviour
Requirements:
Resilient with a strong desire to make a positive impact
Previous experience working with young people, especially those with challenging behaviours
GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent experience
An understanding of school safeguarding and digital literacy
A full driving licence is preferred (due to the nature of the role)
Nice to have:
experience in administering medication
experience with autism spectrum disorders
experience with learning difficulties
experience with social emotional mental health
manual handling
restraint training
speech and language therapy experience
background in youth work
HLTA
NVQ level 4
health and social care qualifications (NVQ)
CACHE level 1 or 2
CACHE level 2 or 3
early childhood studies degree
