As a Learning Mentor, you will be key in helping students aged 5 to 16 unlock their potential. You will work one-on-one with students, providing the intensive, personalised support they need to succeed both academically and emotionally.
Job Responsibility
Working individually with students to address and overcome both behavioural and academic challenges
Planning and running engaging activities, including weekly trips, to help students develop crucial coping strategies and life skills
Offering essential academic assistance and support for students' emotional well-being
Collaborating with families to create a stable home environment that effectively supports the student's learning and behaviour
Requirements
Previous experience working with young people, especially those with challenging behaviours
GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent experience)
An understanding of school safeguarding and digital literacy
A full driving licence is preferred due to the nature of the role
Nice to have
experience in administering medication
experience with autism spectrum disorders
experience with learning difficulties
experience with social emotional mental health
speech and language therapy experience
