Job Description:

We are looking for a resilient, high-energy Learning Mentor to join a small, specialised school in the Plymouth area. This is not a standard 'classroom assistant' role; you will be the bridge between a student's emotional well-being and their academic progress. You will be working with 1:1 with a child with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Working 1:1 to help students engage with their learning
  • Helping students regulate their emotions, build self-esteem, and develop positive social behaviours
  • Using vehicle to support students in off-site learning activities or transitions
  • Assisting students in achieving their GCSE English and Maths

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Access to own vehicle
  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
  • Previous experience working with SEMH children
  • Must be available full-time for at least 3 months
