Job Description:

Resilient, high-energy Learning Mentor to join a small, specialised school in the Plymouth area. You will be the bridge between a student's emotional well-being and their academic progress, working 1:1 with a child with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Working 1:1 to help students engage with their learning
  • Helping students regulate their emotions, build self-esteem, and develop positive social behaviours
  • Using your vehicle to support students in off-site learning activities or transitions
  • Assisting students in achieving their GCSE English and Maths

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
  • Minimum of GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
  • Previous experience working with SEMH children (in a school, youth work, personal, or residential care setting)
  • Must be available full-time for at least 3 months
