Job Description

We are seeking a professional, resilient, and empathetic Learning Mentor to join our alternative provision team in Plymouth. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting students as they navigate their educational journey, helping them re-engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve their true potential.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide dedicated, 1:1 or small group support to young people, helping them smoothly transition back into a classroom setting
  • Develop and implement personalised approaches to facilitate effective learning, emotional regulation, and academic progress
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a cohesive, supportive network for every student
  • Facilitate learning experiences outside the classroom, taking students out into the community for educational development and social enrichment
