Job Description:

The Learning Experience Specialist plays a key role in shaping how employees learn, grow, and connect company values to everyday work. This role supports the company’s training and development initiatives through creative content design, learning management system (LMS) administration, and ongoing evaluation of training programs. Working alongside the Learning and Development Lead, this person will ensure every learning experience — whether it’s a safety module, leadership course, or new hire orientation — is accurate, engaging, and aligned with company culture. The ideal candidate is part designer, part storyteller, and part systems thinker — equally comfortable editing content behind the scenes or stepping to the front of the room to lead an engaging session

Job Responsibility:

  • Own and manage the Learning Management System (LMS) — ensuring a seamless adult learner experience, accurate reporting, and timely updates
  • Design and refresh engaging learning experiences that help adult employees build both technical expertise and soft skills aligned with company culture
  • Review, edit, and enhance existing training programs to ensure accuracy, relevance, and creative engagement
  • Create dynamic content — from videos and animations to slide decks and microlearning modules — that make training more visual, accessible, and memorable
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate technical content into clear, relatable learning that connects to real-world job performance. This role will also participate on Caddell’s Training Committee
  • Lead occasional live sessions, such as New Employee Orientation or skill-based refreshers, with an emphasis on storytelling, culture building and connection
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using learner feedback, participation metrics, and performance data to recommend ongoing improvements
  • Ensure all training materials reflect company values, tone, and design standards — creating consistency across all programs
  • Promote the use of digital learning tools, including videos, quizzes, and simulations, to engage different learning styles and environments
  • Identify emerging learning needs and propose creative solutions that support continuous development across the company. This will be through a mix of conference attendance, training groups, etc
  • Champion a learner-first mindset, ensuring every program is practical, relevant, and inspires professional growth

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Education, Design, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2–4 years of experience in learning design, training coordination, or instructional development
  • Proficiency with LMS platforms preferred (e.g., Workday Learning, Cornerstone, or similar)
  • Experience designing and producing multimedia learning content (video editing, visual design, or eLearning authoring tools)
  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills — able to make complex topics simple and engaging
  • Comfortable facilitating small group trainings or workshops – virtual and in person – with confidence and authenticity
  • Highly organized with strong project management and follow-through abilities
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to handle conflicting tasks in a high-volume environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel, experience in payroll software preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to critically analyze situations and recognize problem areas and identify steps for resolving these issues
  • Must be able to handle multiple payroll cycles

Nice to have:

  • Easily pivots between tasks and welcomes feedback
  • Curious, creative, and eager to continuously improve how people learn
  • Understands how to blend storytelling with technical accuracy
  • Thrives in a collaborative, people-first culture
  • Values quality, consistency, and impact over quantity
  • Sees training as a tool for both skill-building and culture-building
  • Subject-matter experts enjoy working with you because you listen well, simplify complex information, and bring their expertise to life
What we offer:
  • Paid vacations
  • company paid holidays
  • company joint funding of medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • life and disability plans to full-time employees
  • 401k
  • gym membership reimbursement
  • use of company condominiums
