Job Description

Virtru's Technical Training team is scaling to meet the demands of our growing Data Security Platform (DSP) ecosystem — spanning customers, partners, and internal Virtruvians. We operate on a T-shaped competency model where everyone maintains a strong generalist foundation (50-70%) while developing deep specialized excellence (30-50%) in a specific domain. This ensures resilience, velocity, and quality without creating silos. As the Learning Experience Specialist, you'll join as the content production engine of the team — focusing 60% on on-demand content creation and multimedia learning (video production, self-paced modules, content repurposing) and 40% on LMS operations and program coordination (administration, logistics, learner support).

Job Responsibility

  • Video Production & Editing
  • Self-Paced Module Development
  • Content Conversion & Repurposing
  • Learner Experience Design
  • LMS Implementation, Administration & Content Publishing
  • Training Logistics & Operational Coordination
  • Curriculum & Program Support
  • Training Delivery Support

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in one or more of the following: Learning & development, instructional design, training coordination, technical support, customer success, sales engineering, or similar enablement‑adjacent roles
  • Demonstrated ability to organize complex information and turn it into clear, simple artifacts (slides, guides, SOPs, checklists, or basic training materials)
  • Strong project coordination and follow‑through skills — you can track multiple workstreams, manage details, and keep stakeholders informed
  • Comfortable working with technical concepts (cloud, SaaS, security, or dev tools) even if you’re not yet an expert
  • you’re willing to dig in, ask questions, and learn
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adjust your style for technical and non‑technical audiences
  • High comfort with modern collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Jira, Confluence, etc.)

Nice to have

  • 5–7+ years in technical curriculum development, technical training delivery, or deeply technical enablement roles
  • Familiarity with data governance, access control models, policy-as-code, or DLP/classification frameworks
  • Exposure to DevOps tooling, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure ARM), containers (Docker/Kubernetes), or modern deployment workflows
  • Familiarity with programming or experience reading code snippets (e.g., Go, Java, JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, Bash) to support SDK-related training content
  • Experience collaborating with engineering, product, and support teams
  • Strong writing, editing, and instructional design skills
  • Self-starter mindset — comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure from the ground up

What we offer

  • A Flexible PTO policy
  • A $1,500 annual Learning & Development Stipend
  • Frequent company-sponsored team celebrations
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Program
  • Access to Headspace, a mental health app
  • A flat 3% contribution to your retirement account
  • A high degree of flexibility
  • Competitive compensation
  • Generous parental, medical, and bereavement policies
  • 401K contribution and stock options
  • Full medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • New Hire Swag and IT Welcome boxes
  • Structured semi-annual 360° performance reviews
