Job Description

An exciting and rewarding opportunity to join our team of Learning & Employment Support Workers has arisen. Working within the CHI team to deliver a unique programme for young people with learning difficulties which combines education and on-the-job training.

Job Responsibility

  • Support, encourage and role model expectations within the workplace
  • Provide a supportive and positive environment for learning
  • Assist learning within the classroom
  • Visit and support students in workplaces
  • Model excellent workplace practice to students

Requirements

  • Hold a range of GCSE’s in English and Maths or equivalent as a minimum
  • Clear understanding of excellent workplace practice
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to assess students’ development on placements and work with the CHI team and businesses
  • Some flexibility
  • Ability to adapt at short notice
  • Ability to work under pressure would be an advantage
  • Hold a full driving licence and hold business insurance for this purpose
