Job Description:

We are seeking a friendly and outgoing female Support Worker to join our close-knit team in the beautiful Shetland Islands. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is willing to work away from home for periods of up to 12 weeks at a time. The role involves providing dedicated 1:1 support for a female service user with learning disabilities, as well as contributing to the wider support within our residential service for adults with learning disabilities.

Job Responsibility:

Providing person-centred, one-to-one support to a female service user
Assisting with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
Working collaboratively with a dedicated team of support professionals to ensure a high standard of care
Supporting the service user to engage in a wide range of activities, both within the residential service and the local community

Requirements:

Friendly, empathetic, and outgoing personality
Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care
Ability to work away from home for up to 12 weeks at a time
Must be a driver with your own car
Previous experience in a care or support role is preferred but not essential
