Job Description

We’re looking for an L&D Training Partner to help shape and support operational learning across our resorts and varied departments. This is a hands-on, people-focused role that will play an important part in ensuring our teams receive consistent, practical, and engaging training that supports both day-to-day operations and long-term development. Working closely with Subject Matter Expert Managers and operational leaders, you’ll support the rollout and coordination of training across multiple departments, helping bring together existing resources into one clear and consistent approach to learning. You’ll ensure training is operationally fit for purpose, accurately tracked through the LMS, and aligned to the needs of our teams and guests. This role is about more than administration and coordination, we’re looking for someone who enjoys being visible in operations, building strong relationships with teams, and understanding how learning can improve performance on the ground. You’ll spend a significant amount of time out on resort, working alongside leaders and departments to support onboarding, identify development opportunities, and help embed learning into everyday practice. Alongside supporting new team members joining Butlin’s, you’ll also contribute to ongoing learning pathways that help our people continue to grow and develop throughout their journey with us. There may also be opportunities to support the facilitation of leadership and operational training sessions, as well as assisting with the creation and continuous improvement of learning materials and resources. This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working across multiple teams, thrives in operational environments, and is passionate about helping people succeed through great learning experiences. Travel between resorts will form a significant part of the role.

Job Responsibility

  • Support rollout and coordination of training across multiple departments

Requirements

  • Passionate about learning and development
  • Experience supporting training, onboarding, coaching, or operational development within hospitality, leisure, retail, or similar people-focused environment
  • Organised, proactive, confident coordinating multiple priorities
  • Approachable and collaborative
  • Balance attention to detail with practical, operational mindset
  • Experience with LMS and supporting training compliance beneficial
  • Confidence using digital learning tools and systems
  • Comfortable facilitating or supporting group training sessions
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel regularly between resorts

Lead sessions both in person and virtually, for diverse groups of audiences (i.e. location, size, department), including HQ Orientation, Ways of Working Workshops, Manager Development Program, and other key corporate learning programs
  • Partner with corporate functions at all levels to assess enterprise wide, group specific, and team learning needs. Craft proposals to close business skill or leadership performance gaps across Appian, including enterprise wide programs, small group interventions or individual developmental coaching
  • Bring thought leadership into building out Appian’s Learning Journeys for leadership development, business skills and our Ways of Working. Incorporate industry best practices with organizational context efficiently intertwined into content
  • Serve as the lead and Appian’s liaison for all assigned programs. Ensure logistics are organized and publicized
  • manage cohorts and ensure successful delivery of key ongoing programs such as Appian Forums and New Manager Development cohort
  • Collaborate across Appian and with your Talent Development teammates to design impactful learning experiences for leaders at all levels. Ensure learners can be successful in practicing the skills both in the classroom and back on the job, creatively extending learning beyond the classroom
  • Assess the impact of your programs and learning delivery through self-reflection, post learning feedback, skills assessments, etc. Produce learning impact snapshots for your programs that identify program results, strengths and areas of opportunity to drive the continuous improvement of programs
