Job Description

The Learning & Development Specialist will work hand in hand with the Learning & Development Manager to create and maintain a rich learning culture for all our employees. This is your opportunity to bring to life a passion for developing others both professionally & personally.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist Learning & Development Manager to design and execute a compelling learning strategy to drive team member & hotel performance
  • Work with leadership to schedule and organize a diverse set of learning offerings annually for all levels of staff
  • Support the Senior Learning & Development manager in assessing learning needs, design & implementation of custom solutions, and evaluating effectiveness
  • Facilitate learning programs including orientation, departmental onboarding, service culture, and new manager programs
  • Support learning initiatives with program branding and hotel wide communications
  • Ensure all facets of compliance training are completed within corporate driven time frames
  • Attend & facilitates shift briefings to support operational learnings
  • Assist with Standards Testing and collating reports on a monthly basis
  • Work with the People & Culture department to maintain positive employee relations and assist with overall P&C functions to ensure the success of the department

Requirements

  • High level of professionalism, integrity and discretion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Facilitation and public speaking experience
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to connect, engage, and collaborate effectively with team members and business stakeholders
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and a working knowledge of LMS
  • Previous experience in luxury hotel operations and/or in learning & development is preferred
  • Candidates must have valid work authorization for the U.S.
