Job Responsibility
Facilitate learning for student’s resident within Blue Mountain Homes
Plan and deliver learning activities, being aware of learning styles
Plan work in accordance with ‘Pi – Education’ ethos to include Schemes of Work relevant to the individual young person
Handle absent students' work
Address underachievement through Pi-education strategy
Contribute to management of pupil behaviour
Report on pupil behaviours
Promote productive relationships with young people
Promote inclusion for all young people
Liaise with relevant agencies
Communicate with other relevant professionals
Respond to questions from young people
Observe and report on performance
Provide feedback to young people
Ensure health, safety and welfare
Promote social and emotional development
Promote self-esteem and independence
Support role of other team members
Deal with immediate issues or emergencies
Support use of ICT
Assist with development and implementation of IEPs, Behaviour Plans, etc
Provide comfort and care in case of minor accidents
Assist with display of young people’s work
Prepare and maintain equipment
Accompany staff and young people on educational visits
Assist with supervision of young people out of directed lesson time
Contribute to overall Pi – Education ethos
Uphold and contribute to Education policies
Participate in meetings and training
Undertake administrative duties
