Job Description:

Randstad is looking for dedicated school learning assistants to support children with additional needs in primary and secondary schools. You'll work alongside teachers to help students overcome social, emotional, and behavioural challenges or learning difficulties-helping them thrive in a classroom environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting children one-to-one or in small groups
  • Assisting with learning activities in and out of the classroom
  • Helping pupils manage their emotions and behaviour positively
  • Promoting inclusion and helping children reach their full potential
  • Communicating effectively with teaching staff and parents
  • Working within school policies and professional boundaries
  • Bringing enthusiasm, resilience, and patience to each school day

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people, especially in education or care
  • Flexible and adaptable to different school settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • PVG registration (or willingness to apply)
  • SVQ Level 3 in Education Support, Health and Social Care or equivalent (or working towards it)

Nice to have:

A full driving licence is desirable but not essential
