The facility offers various programs aimed at rehabilitation and skill development. The team's aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe at all times. The prison's mission is to provide a secure, safe, and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society. Role Responsibilities You will be recruited as a Learning and Skills Worker, with the aspiration to develop within teaching. You will support teaching cover and annual leave while developing your skills and experience. When covering teaching sessions, you will be paid in accordance with teaching pay scales.

Requirements:
Willingness to develop and work towards a Level 5 Certificate in Education
Willingness to develop a subject specialism in Maths or English
Aspiration to progress into a Maths or English Teacher role
At least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
Enthusiasm and commitment to a career in teaching
Have experience of conducting assessments and supporting learning of individuals and groups
Have experience of working with groups of learners with a range of abilities
Proven track record of achieving performance targets
Demonstrate accurate and timely reporting
Demonstrate team working
Have effective communication skills
