We have a new and exciting opportunity available for a Learning and Development Specialist to join our award-winning, rapidly expanding organisation. This is a full-time, permanent position based at our head office in Runcorn, Cheshire. In return, you will receive a competitive salary up to £40,000 per annum. Job Responsibility:
Design and deliver a structured L&D strategy aligned to business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational performance
Build role-specific training pathways across litigation, debt recovery, enforcement and support functions
Translate regulatory and legal changes into practical, engaging training content
Develop a blend of classroom, digital and on-the-job learning solutions
Partner with Risk & Compliance and Quality Assurance teams to identify trends, risks and capability gaps
Implement and maintain a robust training governance framework, including audit trails, competency assessments and skills matrices
Measure training effectiveness using data, KPIs and performance outcomes—not just attendance
Support onboarding and continuous development, ensuring speed to competence for new hires
Act as a trusted advisor to managers on performance development and capability building
Requirements:
Proven experience in an L&D role within a regulated environment (legal, financial services, enforcement or similar)
Experience designing and implementing end-to-end training programmes, not just delivering pre-built content
Strong understanding of compliance-led training and embedding regulatory requirements into operational teams
Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership
Experience using data and insight to drive training decisions and demonstrate impact
Confident delivering training to a range of audiences, from entry-level to experienced professionals
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and governance
Nice to have:
Experience within legal services, debt recovery or civil litigation
Familiarity with ISO standards or regulated frameworks
Experience with e-learning platforms or LMS systems
