The Gymnastics Summer Day Camp Instructor is responsible for gymnastics instruction for gymnasts ages 6-12 ranging from beginner to USAG Level 3/XCEL Gold skill levels. Instructors also oversee non-gymnastics programming including meal and snack periods, warm-ups, games, contests and more!
Job Responsibility:
Provide an excellent level of service for all participants and families
Maintain a positive attitude and high energy level throughout camp programming
Gym/equipment safety checks
Set up/tear down equipment
Plan age and level appropriate gymnastics lessons
Assess camper progress
Maintain safety of all assigned groups and areas
Supervise meal and snack periods
Camper check-in/out
Lead warm-ups, games and contests
Attend all trainings and staff meetings
Additional duties as required
Requirements:
Prior experience working with children
CPR/FA/AED Certification (must be obtained by start date)
Nice to have:
1 year of gymnastics coaching experience
Knowledge of the sport of gymnastics
Experience spotting gymnastics skills
Ability to manage a group of 6-9 children
