Job Responsibility:

  • Supervise and mentor site labour crews and plant operators to maintain productivity and project standards
  • Coordinate daily subcontractor activities and material logistics to ensure construction program remains on schedule
  • Interpret technical civil drawings and specifications, focusing on bulk earthworks, detailed excavation, and structural concrete works
  • Implement OHS and environmental management systems in compliance with Tier 2 and government client requirements
  • Serve as primary site contact for client representatives
  • Monitor plant and equipment to ensure efficient resource allocation
  • Maintain accurate site documentation including daily diaries, quality assurance checklists, and safety toolbox records

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a leading hand capacity within the Victorian civil construction industry
  • Demonstrated understanding of compliance and reporting frameworks for Tier 2 contractors
  • Technical proficiency in reading civil plans and performing site set-outs
  • Ability to manage a diverse workforce
  • Valid Victorian Driver's License and General Construction Induction (White Card)
  • Trade background or formal qualifications in Civil Construction or a relevant field
