Job Description

Are you a reliable operator ready to step up, lead by example, and keep things moving? We are looking for a hands-on Leading Hand to join our busy waste management facility. This is a stable, permanent role where you’ll balance operating heavy machinery with coordinating a small, hard-working team on the ground.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead from the Front: Direct daily yard activities, ensuring the team stays safe and on task
  • Machinery Operation: Safely operate a variety of yellow goods and heavy vehicles
  • Traffic & Load Management: Oversee incoming/outgoing waste and coordinate floor traffic
  • Safety First: Ensure all site safety protocols and paperwork are kept up to scratch

Requirements

  • HR Driver's License (Minimum requirement)
  • Forklift Ticket (LF) (Minimum requirement)
  • Front-End Loader Ticket (LL)
  • Skidsteer Ticket (LS)
  • Full work rights
  • Strong work ethic
  • Calm head under pressure
  • Experience in waste, recycling, or quarry industries
