The Leadership & Organizational Development (L&OD) Consultant is responsible for the creation, refinement, influence and execution of learning strategies and programs that support leadership and organizational growth across the health system. This role leads the design, development, facilitation, and implementation of high impact learning experiences, ensuring long-term sustainability and alignment with organizational goals. Working closely with system leaders and subject matter experts, the Consultant identifies development and coaching needs and translates them into effective, competency-based programs. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, the Consultant assesses both the need for and the effectiveness of delivered programs, using data and feedback to enhance offerings.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborates with HR Business Partners and leadership to provide guidance to leadership in defining organizational development, learning and talent development strategies and programs
Creates and project leads (in partnership with the Program Manager) large learning and development initiatives that meet the development needs of the health system
Identifies learning needs through design and administration of needs assessments, interviews with leadership and strategic partnership with Health System Learning and Development departments
Provides guidance to development steering committees regarding development programming
Proposes and/or implements appropriate team-building initiatives that encourage shared vision
Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of learning and development programs
Ensures that courses/programs are evaluated, and annual assessments are presented to leadership
Attends leadership meetings with reference to L&OD programs and initiatives
Develops appropriate evaluation tools to determine effectiveness of learning and development programs
Puts data insights into context to inspire action
Explores external learning opportunities to support employee experiences, workforce development and leadership development
Works with the organization to evaluate and implement organizational changes
Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Organizational Development, Instructional Design, Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology or related field from an accredited college or university
5 or more years of Talent Development experience
Nice to have:
Master's Degree in Organizational Development, Instructional Design, Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology or related field from an accredited college or university
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) - Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) - Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI)
