Millennium Space Systems, a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), is a fast, agile small satellite company focused on national security space. And when we watch our satellites launch, we know each one of us made it happen. Internally, the Millennium job title will be Director of Quality and Safety. As the Company’s Director of Quality and Safety, you will be the leader assuring the company’s processes are geared toward building quality and safety into everything we do and that the finished products meet the standards that we have set and which our customers expect. We are looking for a leader, a good communicator, and a person that builds credibility and trust amongst our teams. Your role is primarily inward facing within the company, to help garner the resources that your team needs, to envision improvements that will make teams more efficient and effective, and then to work with the company to deliver those improvements to the benefit of all. You will work with the Chief Engineer and VP of Engineering to ensure that design processes have quality “baked in” and that design for manufacturability is second nature to our teams. You will use your experience to work with the VP of Manufacturing to ensure that quality assurance is efficient, lightweight, and scalable to our growing build rate. You will work with the Director of Global Supply Chain to ensure that we have an effective and efficient supplier onboarding process, that specifications flowed to our vendors are correct, and that the materials we receive in return meet our needs. You will work across the company to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
