Job Responsibility:
Drive the establishment and growth of a new national centre of excellence
Build deep community and sector partnerships across government, industry, and regional communities
Set the strategic vision, forge influential partnerships, and lead cutting-edge research that informs real-world solutions
Design world-class academic programs, develop executive education, and represent the Centre as a thought leader on the national and international stage
Shape policy, influence practice, and leave a lasting legacy in emergency response and resilience
Requirements:
Proven academic leadership with a strong record in team building, mentoring, and fostering excellence in research and teaching
Ability to build and sustain strategic partnerships across government, industry, community, and academic sectors locally, nationally, and internationally
Distinguished academic track record in teaching and research, with high-impact outputs and thought leadership in emergency response and resilience
Leadership in cross-sector collaboration and strategic program development to advance national emergency preparedness and resilience
Strong understanding of emergency response systems and resilience frameworks, with a commitment to community engagement and impact
Doctoral qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as paramedicine, public health, emergency management, or disaster resilience
