Job Responsibility:

  • Be responsible for planning, organizing, motivating and supervising the activities of twenty salaried and Technologists from our Methods groups
  • Assume all HR responsibilities of a multidisciplinary team, financial management and technology development department
  • Have to coordinate the manufacturing support to production teams
  • Be responsible of the first article inspection and improvement projects
  • Define and control the processes that link the department with external stakeholders and ensure you provide excellent customer service
  • Support initiatives related to the deployment of operational excellence in your department

Requirements:

  • You hold a bachelor degree or a MBA, or a college diploma with several years of experience working in a aerospace industry
  • You have more than 3 years of experience in management
  • You demonstrate good judgment, flexibility, you are results oriented, able to work under minimum supervision and you observe tight delivery deadlines
  • You are resourceful and ready to work in a winning team
  • You demonstrate affinities in communication and leadership, in addition to your strong organizational skills and excellent technical knowledge
  • You are bilingual (French and English)

  • Lead a team of salaried and Unionized Methods employees supporting the Production floor
  • Integrate manufacturing requirements and objectives, using an efficient First Article Inspection process to ensure all design change implementation in production will meet the manufacturing requirements
  • Integrate with the Change Management organization, provide adequate project schedule, allocation of resources and definition of tooling/processes to allow for a strong change implementation process in the manufacturing environment
  • Ensure completion of Functional Test Procedural instructions to production, aiming to ensure all systems are fully tested
