Job Responsibility

  • Planning, organizing, motivating, and supervising the activities of ten to fifteen salaried from our Methods groups
  • Supporting production line of the St-Laurent facility
  • Implementing engineering change
  • Responsible for process revisions and implementation
  • Assume all HR responsibilities of a team, financial management and technology development department and improvements projects
  • Coordinate methods activities across internal Bombardier functions
  • Define and control the processes that link the department with external stakeholders and ensure excellent customer service
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Experience with detail part manufacturing for aerospace or assembly
  • Project management relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or industrial engineering, or a college diploma with several years of experience working in a Methods or Quality team
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience
  • Excellent management skills
  • Knowledge in lean manufacturing
  • Good judgment, flexibility, results oriented, able to work under minimum supervision and observe tight delivery deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent technical knowledge
  • Talent in communication and leadership
  • Highly motivated, a team player, and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Mastery of French and English
  • read and write in English and have strong communication skills

  • Integrate with the Change Management organization, provide adequate project schedule, allocation of resources and definition of tooling/processes to allow for a strong change implementation process in the manufacturing environment

  • Ensure that all team members understand their role and performance in achieving the Operations Unit plan
  • Participate in Achieving Excellence and Continuous Improvement activities
