Job Responsibility:

  • Continuously improve the EHS management system of an operational site in compliance with local legislation, ISO 14001 and 45001 standards, and Bombardier’s EHS requirements
  • Support and influence operations to promote a proactive approach to EHS
  • Use a risk management approach, identify risks, and ensure mitigation measures are in place to reduce risks and improve EHS performance
  • Ensure legal compliance in EHS through audits and action plans
  • Provide frontline support to manage site-specific EHS risks
  • Develop site-specific procedures for risk management
  • Lead governance on health, safety, and environmental matters, regulatory requirements, and trend analysis at the site level
  • Represent the site with external organizations regarding health, safety, and environmental matters
  • Participate in site EHS committees and the joint health and safety committee
  • Act as the site EHS focal point for the site management team
  • Manage the site EHS team and budget

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in EHS or a related field
  • At least 5 years (or more) of EHS experience, preferably in a manufacturing and unionized environment
  • Management experience preferred
  • Experience developing and implementing site-wide EHS programs
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to interact and engage with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to prioritize and reassess in response to changing demands
  • Ability to think strategically, seek innovative solutions, analyze, and solve problems
  • Bilingual (French and English)
