Job Description:

Responsible for guiding the shift activities within the assigned production area to execute the Production Schedule and ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time. The Tier 1 Technician fulfills the responsibilities of this role when vacant.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead their assigned room with administrative input and guidance as well as technical assistance where possible.
  • Generate work orders to reflect production planning for their assigned area
  • Print labels when needed
  • Issue materials to production orders and Report Ops Complete as needed
  • Plan and Allocate resources to the manufacturing lines in their area
  • Ensure all Manufacturing lines have the supplies and resources needed to work at their highest efficiency levels.
  • Ensure proper training for all machine operators. Utilize Trainers as needed.
  • Coordinate communication between QC and Production area. Ensure Supervisor Production Floor Lead is updated on activities throughout the shift
  • Record production results at the end of the shift and update Tier 2 boards/graphs for their area.
  • Ensure that all personnel are trained and follows management Systems, Procedures and Work Instructions
  • Ensure that all personnel comply with all OSHA, Fire Safety, EPA and other regulatory guidelines and rules
  • Ensure that all personnel comply with all Company Operations, Personnel, Safety and Environmental policies
  • Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor or management

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D required.
  • Ability to maintain good, positive, cordial working relationships with all personnel.
  • Ability to work with others in a way that elicits their cooperation and support.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and information.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
