Job Description:

Our technology client is looking for a Lead Visual Designer (Brand Design) to join a multidisciplinary team focused on creating impactful digital products, services and brand experiences. This role is ideal for a highly conceptual and craft-driven designer who can define and elevate visual direction across complex projects. This is a temporary/contract position and sits on-site in Midtown Manhattan (5 days). This is not a remote or hybrid position. As a Designer, you will guide the visual expression of work from early concept through execution, ensuring cohesion, quality and innovation. You’ll collaborate closely with strategists, UX designers and technologists to bring ideas to life while mentoring and inspiring other designers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Define and lead the visual design vision across projects, from concept through delivery
  • Translate complex ideas into compelling visual systems and storytelling frameworks
  • Design high-quality outputs including UI, design systems, brand identities and prototypes
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align visual design with user experience and business strategy
  • Present work confidently to stakeholders, clearly articulating design rationale
  • Support designers, helping elevate team craft and capabilities
  • Contribute to new business efforts, including pitches and proposals

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in visual design, UI design or digital product design
  • A strong online portfolio showcasing both conceptual thinking and executional excellence
  • Deep understanding of typography, color, composition and visual systems
  • Experience designing for digital platforms (web, mobile and beyond)
  • Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and prototyping software
  • Strong communication, storytelling and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to lead projects and collaborate in fast-paced environments
