Job Description

We are seeking an experienced vet with a passion for both people and pets, to join our 24/7 Hospital in Shrewsbury. A Lead Veterinary Surgeon will guide our team of vets, ensuring that high standards of clinical care are met through coaching and mentoring. You will be jointly responsible for embedding the Animal Trust Values, creating a caring and nurturing working environment. Working closely with our Practice Manager and Lead Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the clinic. Your responsibilities will extend to evaluating clinic KPIs and P&L, ensuring optimal performance and the continued success of the hospital. Shrewsbury Hospital is a 24-hour facility committed to providing exceptional care to our patients. With dedicated staff managing both incoming cases and inpatients, we offer two theatre suites (one for advanced surgeries), a dental suite, and separate wards for dogs and cats, highlighting our commitment to feline-friendly care. Our practice includes five consulting rooms to accommodate a diverse caseload, including soft tissue and orthopaedic cases. Join us and work alongside our advanced clinical team, which includes surgical certificate holders. About Animal Trust: Our mission is to provide affordable veterinary care to sick pets. We are a Community Interest Company, non-profit organisation, which means we reinvest the majority of our profits into our team and our patients' care.
