Job Responsibility

Greets patients, explains procedures, and answers questions to alleviate anxiety and ensure cooperation
Positions patients correctly for each examination, ensuring comfort and accurate angle
Applies appropriate radiation protection (e.g., lead shielding) for patients, staff, and self
Screens patients for contraindications, pregnancy, or metallic implants as per protocol
Monitors patient condition during procedures and responds to any adverse reactions promptly
Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe environment in the imaging rooms
Operates radiologic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
Selects appropriate technical factors (kVp, mAs, exposure time, focal spot, SID) for optimal image quality and minimal radiation dose
Performs quality control checks on equipment as required
Utilizes Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and Radiology Information Systems (RIS) for image acquisition, archiving, and patient information management
