Job Description

If you are a Science teacher who is tired of the 'exam factory' mentality and wants to get back to why you started teaching-to spark curiosity and change lives-this is the leadership role you've been waiting for. We are looking for a Science Lead who can bridge the gap between complex scientific concepts and the unique needs of learners with ASC and SEMH. We don't just teach Science; we use it as a tool to help young people re-engage with the world around them.

Job Responsibility

  • Shape the Vision: Take full ownership of the Science curriculum, ensuring it is hands-on, multi-sensory, and accessible across our Mansfield sites
  • Empower Peers: Act as the 'expert in the room', coaching and mentoring colleagues to deliver world-class Science sessions through bespoke CPD
  • Quality & Growth: Work with senior leaders to audit teaching quality, celebrate successes, and implement creative interventions to raise student attainment
  • Teach with Purpose: Work directly with small groups and 1-to-1, proving that with the right approach, every student can experiment, learn, and succeed
