Role Overview: Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced Lead Surveyor to join our Survey & UAV department. This is a dynamic opportunity for a skilled Surveyor to play an important part in delivering high‑quality survey work within a rapidly evolving industry. You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality survey outputs, supporting client relationships, and mentoring junior team members. This position offers exposure to innovative workflows, varied project environments, and clear opportunities for career progression.

Job Responsibility:

  • Carry out field‑based surveying activities using total stations, GNSS/GPS, data collectors, laser scanners and other modern survey technologies
  • Perform detailed field and office surveying to exceptional accuracy and quality standards
  • Process survey data and prepare deliverables using post‑processing software and AutoCAD
  • Work across a range of project types, including housing developments, roads, greenways, and civil engineering schemes
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring projects are delivered safely, professionally, and to specification
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Assistant Surveyors and junior team members
  • Ensure all survey equipment is maintained, calibrated, and in optimal working condition
  • Work in line with company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards
  • Support additional duties as required by project or business needs

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of modern surveying principles, methods, and best practices
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team
  • Experience using Total Stations, GPS and Laser Scanners
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel nationwide based on project requirements
  • Full, clean Irish/EU driving licence
  • Right to work in Ireland

Nice to have:

  • AutoCAD experience
  • Previous experience mentoring junior surveyors
  • Experience working on linear infrastructure or residential development projects
