Job Description:

We are looking for a Lead Surgical Technologist to support our Main Operating Room at Baptist Medical Center Beaches. This Lead Surgical Technologist position will be a full-time days position, with shift times being 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday with no call. This is a Lead Surgical Technologist position supporting our General/Vascular/ENT ST Coordinator team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assembling, organizing and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures
  • Anticipates needs of the surgeon and progression of the case and prepares accordingly
  • Proper disposition of specimens and instruments
  • Works with entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety
  • Acts as resource for new Surgical Techs

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program
  • Previous experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from NBSTA or NCCT required
  • Associate's Degree
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) NCCT Required
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Required
