Job Description:

Lead Specialty Software Engineer 1 role involves designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting projects and programs. Responsibilities include driving companywide technology initiatives, developing standards and best practices, resolving complex technical issues, and mentoring new associates.

Job Responsibility:

Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
drive complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions
review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges
assist in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions
collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
guide projects and serve as a mentor to new associates.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or related technical field
5 years of experience in the job offered or in a related role involving software or application development and engineering
experience with the software development lifecycle
experience with one of the following databases: Oracle, MS SQL, Teradata, MongoDB, or DB2
5 years of experience with at least 6 of the following technical skills: SAS or SQL
JAVA/J2EE
Agile methodologies
RESTful or SOAP web services
Anthill or Jenkins
Linux or UNIX
Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, and performance tuning
Urbancode Deploy
Jira
Application Logging Control tools
Maven, Oracle, or SVN
application performance, monitoring and optimization tools Blazemeter, Splunk, or AppDynamics
Application Programming Interface (API) or User Interface (UI) design and development
automations and unit testing using Jasmine, Karma, Selenium, Junit, or Jmeter
application or software security web application penetration testing, secure code review, or secure static code analysis.
