Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to lead complex technology initiatives, develop standards and best practices, design and code solutions, and collaborate with technical experts to resolve complex issues.

Job Responsibility:

Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives
Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions
Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues
Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Requirements:

5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
12+ years of Software Engineering experience and expertise in Java frameworks
Familiarity with frameworks like Apache Flink, Airflow/Dagster
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
Experience with ETL platforms and migration strategies
Prior experience in leading teams or projects in data engineering capacity
Understanding of application development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
Good knowledge and exposure of front to back trade life cycle events for Fixed income Trading and primarily on Credit Products
Good Communication and presentation skills

Nice to have:
