Job Description:

Lead Software Engineer for the Advisor Platform Technology team within Wealth & Investment Management. Experienced full-stack developer who will lead strategic initiatives for the Advisor Platform Group to drive a best-in-class Financial Advisor experience. Lead initiatives starting from the evaluation of complex business requirements to design, coding, and testing of solutions, while utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs.

Job Responsibility:

Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives
Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions
Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues
Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Requirements:

5+ years of Software Engineering experience
5+ years of Java and Spring Framework for back-end development
5+ years of Apache Kafka for messaging and stream processing
5+ years of build tools such as Maven or Gradle
5+ years of code quality tools like SonarQube
3+ years of ReactJS or Angular/Typescript for front-end development
3+ years of containerization experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift

Nice to have:

Certifications in Cloud (AWS Solution Architect, Azure)
2+ years of Agile methodology experience and version control systems such as GIT
2+ Azure or Openshift Container Platform
Cloud Development/Deployment experience
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams
