Job Responsibility:

  • Work in the Boeing Digital Services team to develop, maintain and improve Aviation Operational Efficiency Software products
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Work with cross-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations within Boeing and external partners
  • Be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with partners from within Boeing and outside, across different cultures and time-zones
  • Collaborate within an Agile team setting, working as a group to drive Epic/Feature/Story creation as well as solution design and architecture
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to earn trust, persuade, motivate and mentor other team members

  • Work in close cooperation - actively aligns the technical roadmap, System Design, with teams based in international locations
  • Create and maintain necessary software design and architecture documentation
  • Keep track of and actively reduce technical debt
  • Work collaboratively with an international team comprising Software development, product management, and business analysis
  • Provide support to development of internal competency and resources for critical skill sets
  • Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends, competition offerings and advancements in aircraft performance and sustainability
  • Research and recommend new system requirements to improve the product capabilities
  • Travel domestically and internationally, as required

Requirements:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 12 to 16 years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master 11 to 15 years') related in computer science, aerospace or other closely related field
  • Experience in Flight Management Systems and Aircraft performance computation/optimization, Aerodynamics and Flight Dynamics
  • Experience with Matlab/Python scripting
  • Experience in Machine learning and data analytics
  • Experience in Deep Learning and Neural Network models

Nice to have:

  • Experience Flight Plan/Optimization, Aircraft Fuel planning and optimization, expertise in Lateral and Vertical flight planning, Air Traffic Management
  • Experience related to EFB/Flight Deck applications
  • Experience related to Aircraft Performance computation/optimization, Tail Specific Performance computations using big data analytics, AI/ML, Agentic AI, and modeling
  • Exposure to Flight Data Monitoring and Flight Data Analytics
  • Familiarity with airplane avionics, network protocols and airplane system integration
  • Assists in the facilitation of team meetings across time zones
  • Delivers informative, well-organized presentations
  • Excellent verbal and written English, including grammar
