Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Software Development Engineer (.NET) to support and lead application development, ERP integrations, server migrations, and system reliability efforts within a small, high‑impact public‑sector IT environment. This role is highly urgent due to the departure of the current Application Development Manager and requires immediate onboarding for knowledge transfer and operational continuity. The successful candidate will act as the senior technical lead for .NET applications while partnering closely with infrastructure teams, ERP vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure data integrity, system reliability, and successful modernization initiatives.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead development, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of .NET applications
  • Support production systems and resolve assigned support tickets efficiently
  • Contribute hands‑on development for new and existing solutions using ASP.NET, C#, and VB.NET
  • Serve as the senior technical resource within a small applications team
  • Lead and support ERP integrations in a public‑sector environment
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on ERP upgrades and codebase alignment
  • Support a critical ERP upgrade initiative currently in progress
  • Lead software server migrations (Windows Server 2020 → 2025)
  • Support disaster recovery strategies, backups, and system resiliency efforts
  • Ensure application availability, data integrity, and rollback plans during migrations
  • Work across cloud and on‑prem Windows Server environments
  • Design and maintain integrations leveraging MS SQL Server and T‑SQL
  • Optimize database interactions and application performance
  • Support intranet conversion and application‑hosted server modernization projects
  • Perform structured knowledge transfer from the outgoing Application Development Manager
  • Partner closely with infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders

  • Proven experience as a .NET Software Lead or Senior Developer
