Job Description

All resources, and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Job Responsibility

  • Resources planning, equipment and time for commissioning, repair or construction expertise
  • Manage Workers customer and / or switch on the site
  • Perform commissioning tests
  • Prepare progress reports, test results, non-compliance report, schedules
  • Annotating and editing drawings 'as built'
  • Participate in the drafting of technical procedures
  • Submit to external customers and internal technical documentation necessary for operation and maintenance of equipment
  • Provide information supplements as needed
  • Analyze, investigate and propose solutions to problems concerning Alstom Grid legacy products
  • Test and industrialize the solution
  • Participate in the development of inspection criteria in collaboration with customers and engineering team
  • Perform field expertise after major failures

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree preferably in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering or Technical degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering with a combination of work experience or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in field service in a high voltage environment
  • Proven extensive customer service
  • Strong knowledge on GIS equipment and solutions
  • Certified to work on GE GIS gear will be an asset
  • European certification for handling SF6 gas will be an asset
  • 5 years of experience in erection and commissioning of GIS switchgear
  • 5 years of experience in maintenance of GIS substation
  • Fluent in French and English, other languages are an asset
