This is not a production role and not a backfill. You will operate as the technical authority on cadastral matters across significant land development and land transfer projects, working directly with decision makers and experienced multidisciplinary teams. You will be trusted to provide strategic advice on complex developments, guide critical decisions, and influence project direction from the earliest stages. There is real scope to shape project strategy, mentor staff, and contribute to the future capability of the surveying function in Auckland.
Job Responsibility:
Leading cadastral strategy on complex subdivision projects
Certifying survey datasets and ensuring regulatory compliance
Providing boundary definition and land transfer expertise
Coordinating survey inputs with planners, engineers and project teams
Managing stakeholder relationships with councils, LINZ and legal advisors
Identifying risks early and resolving issues before they escalate
Supporting and mentoring survey staff
Contributing to client relationships and new opportunities
Requirements:
Licensed Cadastral Surveyor (New Zealand)
Extensive experience delivering land development and land transfer projects end to end
Strong understanding of Auckland processes and regulatory environment
Ability to operate confidently at senior technical and client level
Sound judgement, commercial awareness and problem solving capability
Leadership experience or readiness to step into a leadership position
Experience with complex, high density or large scale developments will be highly valued
