The Salesforce Lead Developer supports a government-contracted contact center by leading the design, development, and maintenance of Salesforce solutions. This role ensures the platform is stable, secure, and optimized for daily operations, including case management, reporting, workflow automation, and integrations. The Lead Developer provides technical leadership, oversees development standards, and collaborates with program and operations teams to support mission-critical customer service functions.
Job Responsibility
Lead the design and development of Salesforce solutions that support contact center operations
Build and maintain Apex code, Lightning Web Components (LWC), integrations, and automated workflows
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with government and organizational standards
Troubleshoot system issues and support enhancements, upgrades, and new feature deployments
Collaborate with business analysts, program managers, and operational leaders to refine requirements
Oversee code reviews, documentation, and adherence to development best practices
Support release management, testing cycles, and continuous improvement initiatives
Evaluate new Salesforce features and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and service delivery
Requirements
Bachelor's degree
Active Salesforce Platform Developer II certification (or equivalent advanced certification)
Minimum 6 years of experience supporting Salesforce roles/responsibilities
Minimum 3 years of Salesforce development experience, including Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, and API integrations
Ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust clearance
Nice to have
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Additional Salesforce certifications (Application Architect, System Architect, Integration Architect)
Experience supporting complex Salesforce environments or multi-cloud implementations
Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git, Copado, Gearset, or Azure DevOps
Experience supporting government programs or regulated environments
Background in enterprise-scale integrations or event-driven architectures
Knowledge of Agile development practices and cross-functional collaboration
