Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Risk Analytics Consultant to lead complex initiatives related to business analysis and modeling, including cross-functional projects with broad impact. The role involves data aggregation, monitoring, and reporting of stress testing and portfolio analysis for Risk Analytics.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead complex initiatives related to business analysis and modeling
  • Act as key participant in data aggregation, monitoring, and reporting of stress testing and portfolio analysis for Risk Analytics
  • Review and analyze complex programing models to extract data and manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling specific to businesses supported
  • Manage the roll out of pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models for supported businesses and product line
  • Make decisions in complex product strategies, data modeling, and risk exposure
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, less experienced to more experienced managers, to resolve production, project, and regulatory issues
  • Lead projects, teams, and mentor

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Risk Analytics experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of Commercial/Consumer Lending practices, policies, and procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of the key factors impacting credit offerings, including credit risks and regulatory requirements
  • Understanding of risk management practices, extensive knowledge of financial data
  • Demonstrated proficient SQL experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects
  • Proficient experience in identifying and evaluating data trends, isolating root cause, and providing swift/thorough resolution
  • Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Strong ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional area
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities
  • Master's/Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, finance, economics, econometrics or computer sciences
  • Relevant experience in the Banking & Financial Services Industry domain
  • Relevant experience creating artifacts such as procedure documents, flow charts, and control evidence
  • Relevant years of experience in SAS & SQL and one of the visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau
  • Relevant years of Risk experience
  • Relevant years of experience in Data Quality/Data Defects/Data Governance
  • Relevant years of experience with applying and executing, reviewing controls or assurance with business processes
  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical subject matter experts
  • Strong analytics skills and comprehensive understanding of financial services products and risk drivers
  • Ability to lead project teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
