This position can be based at our headquarters in Manchester, UK or Dubai, UAE. We are looking for an experienced Lead Retoucher to join the creative team at Club L London, supporting both high-volume e-commerce imagery and creative campaign and content assets. This role requires a highly skilled retoucher with an expert eye for detail, colour accuracy, and garment integrity, with particular attention to skin tones, light fabrics, and texture preservation. You will play a key role in ensuring imagery meets brand standards while maintaining speed, consistency, and exceptional quality across large volumes of content. Alongside e-commerce retouching, you will contribute to campaign and creative imagery, supporting visual storytelling through advanced grading, compositing, and creative experimentation. As Lead Retoucher, you will also play an important role in supporting and developing the wider retouch team, helping to mentor junior team members, elevate quality standards, and contribute to the overall growth and development of the department. The role will also support the integration of new technologies, including AI-assisted tools and workflow innovations, helping to improve efficiency while maintaining the brand’s premium visual standards.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the retouching workflow for high-volume e-commerce imagery while maintaining premium brand standards
Retouch garments with an expert understanding of fabric, texture, and shape, particularly light and delicate fabrics
Deliver natural, polished skin retouching while preserving realism
Maintain accurate colour and product representation across all images
Support creative and campaign retouching, including advanced compositing and image extensions
Match and apply consistent colour grades across full campaign sets
Extend backgrounds, build scenes, and enhance imagery where required
Add creative grading and visual polish while remaining aligned with the brand aesthetic
Contribute creative ideas and experimental approaches when developing campaign imagery
Manage the intake of imagery from photoshoots, ensuring files are received, checked, and integrated smoothly into the retouching workflow
Oversee the movement of images from shoot delivery into the main production funnel, ensuring efficient processing and prioritisation
Manage and maintain organised file structures and image libraries, ensuring assets are clearly labelled, stored, and archived
Handle imagery post-shoot, including ingesting files, organising assets, and preparing images for retouching
Ensure accurate filing and delivery of all retouched images across e-commerce, marketing, and campaign outputs
Oversee quality control checks to ensure all imagery meets brand standards before release
Support the integration of AI and emerging retouching technologies to enhance workflow efficiency and production scalability
Identify opportunities to improve retouching processes through automation, AI-assisted tools, and new techniques
Help the team adopt innovative approaches to image production while maintaining the brand’s visual quality standards
Work closely with photographers, stylists, producers, and the wider creative team to maintain visual consistency
Provide input into team workflow, processes, and creative direction
Lead by example within the retouch team, maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and organisation
Support the development and upskilling of junior retouchers, providing guidance, feedback, and technical support
Help identify opportunities for training, knowledge sharing, and process improvements within the team
Contribute to career development pathways for junior team members, helping them grow their technical and creative retouching skills
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar fashion retouching role, ideally within a premium or luxury fashion brand
Advanced retouching expertise in fashion imagery, skin, fabrics, and colour correction
Strong understanding of light fabrics, garment structure, and texture preservation
Experience working across both e-commerce and creative campaign imagery
Strong ability to match grades and maintain consistency across full image sets
Excellent organisation and file management skills
Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality
Strong attention to detail, particularly in colour accuracy and product representation
Interest in AI tools, automation, and new technologies within image production
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have:
