Join our team as a night shift, full-time, Respiratory Therapy-A, Lead Respiratory Therapist in Albuquerque, NM. Thrive in a People-First Environment and Make Healthcare Better. Lovelace Medical Center is an acute care hospital with 263 licensed beds, providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology and oncology services.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provides clinical leadership and promotes quality patient care by training and leading assigned staff
  • Collaborates with the manager and/or director in developing and revising department quality assurance, performance improvement, policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Serves as a department liaison and first line of contact with patients, providers, and staff
  • Coordinates and oversees the safe delivery of complex, non-routine treatments of patients
  • Performs facility-specific specialty procedures as required
  • Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or Diploma from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
  • Supervision/Management knowledge and experience
  • Clinical/Specialty expertise
  • One year of critical care experience and one (1) year of related supervisory/lead experience in a hospital setting
  • Current NM Respiratory Care License
  • BLS
  • ACLS or National Specialty Certification

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Certification in clinical specialty
  • Three (3) years of related experience
