Job Description:

Lead Resort Maintenance Technicians perform routine and preventative maintenance to maintain the physical integrity of Sun’s RV Resorts. They conduct home/building maintenance repairs and are responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of property grounds, facilities, streets, and equipment. Additionally, Lead Resort Maintenance Technicians assist the Resort Manager with higher level functions such as mentoring maintenance team members, maintaining maintenance & vehicle logs and assisting with capital expenditure projects.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assists manager in establishing and prioritizing the daily work of maintenance team
  • Maintains inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies. Purchases equipment, supplies and services with manager approval as needed
  • Completes minor repairs to rental homes and facilities as needed, as well as routine maintenance, plumbing, sewage, and street repair
  • Completes checklists of physical condition of resort sites prior to and after guest occupancy
  • Maintains vehicle/equipment maintenance logs and ensures proper maintenance of resort vehicles
  • prepares all maintenance-related logs in accordance of the Operations Manual
  • Reports all maintenance issues and concerns that may be identified while performing daily duties to manager
  • Ensures common area lawns are manicured appropriately
  • Ensures the resort is presentable and inviting at all times and that it adheres to Sun's curb appeal standards
  • Follows safety procedures while performing duties, including safely operating vehicles when moving from site to site and picking up supplies and ensures the maintenance team is following protocol
  • Ensures trash/debris is picked up daily from common areas and streets on a daily basis. Empties common area trash containers as needed
  • Cleans resort amenities which may include clubhouses, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, resort offices, restrooms, laundry areas, bath houses, and maintenance garage
  • Maintains vacant sites, including strap-downs and removal of trash and debris
  • Inspects irrigation system regularly to ensure it is working properly, repairs as necessary
  • Inspects playground area and equipment, pool/spa area, and other recreational amenities to ensure everything is in good condition, making minor repairs as needed
  • Ensures all resort streets and public access routes are free of hazards
  • Maintains resort pool(s), tests chemical levels, and adjusts appropriately, where applicable
  • Assists manager with aspects of the capital expenditure program
  • Ensures safe storage of hazardous chemicals and/or equipment
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 months in previous maintenance experience in a campground or RV resort (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general maintenance techniques and repair work
  • Ability to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • General knowledge of janitorial work, plumbing, and grounds maintenance
  • Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery
  • Ability to work well independently as well as on a team
  • Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet
  • Availability to respond to resort needs during non-business hours while on-call

Maintain and improve LSOPs (local procedures) for these programs and perform periodic review of local procedures (for example- facility cleaning, aseptic behaviors, material transfer, gowning, EM and aseptic simulations)
  • Responsible for trending, generating Environmental Monitoring trend reports and ensuring that Environmental Monitoring and gowning programs are in control. Responsible for all rationale documents and risk assessments to support the environmental monitoring and gown monitoring programs
  • Provide expert advice when changes to classified environments are proposed to evaluate the benefits or disadvantages of the proposed changes and to assist with investigation of excursions. Provide trending data analysis to assist with the evaluation of the impact of excursions. Ensure that the site monitoring strategy for classified areas complies to procedures and external regulatory expectations
  • Interface directly with domestic and foreign regulatory inspectors regarding microbiological and sterility assurance topics
  • Participate in the investigation and planned remedial actions for out of compliance EM / Sterility Assurance results in order to support the timely resolution of investigations
